Empowering Women 4 Peace 2 Empower Change

Empowering women means empowering change. The mission of SDG 5 is to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. In order to achieve this goal, it is important to change mindsets,  behaviors, and cultures, support women’s career choices,  enhance leadership opportunities and build networks to drive this change moving forward.

Today, we are living in a time of great conflict with women and children being disproportionally impacted by violence. Recognizing the importance of women’s voices and leadership roles in conflict resolution and peace building will ensure a path forward towards peace building and a world where no one is left behind.
