The Board of Roimagetary District 5370 is pleased to announce Andre Charrois as District Governor for the Rotary year 2027-28. Andre has been a member of the St. Albert Rotary Club for over 15 years. Originally from Legal, Alberta, he and is wife Lynne have resided in St. Albert for 24 years and have been married for over 31 years. They have two children; Laura (aged 26 years old) who is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Youth Counselling and is also a Rotarian with the St. Albert Rotary Club; and Patrick (aged 24 years old) who completed a Tourism Degree from VIU and is now working with Parks Canada in Jasper.
 
Andre had a 32 year career in insurance and was a majority partner with Foster Park Brokers Ltd. until they sold to NFP three years ago. He has now retired and is pursuing the opportunities that bring him the most joy. notably, Rotary and working with other Non Profit Boards. Andre currently serves as Chair for the District 5370 Rotary Employment Partnership Project. The partnership working with Inclusion Alberta is one of the most fulfilling projects he has ever been involved with as Andre was able to secure employment for an individual with a developmental disability.
 
Within Rotary he has served as Ways and Means Chair, President, and currently the International Committee Chair with the St. Albert Rotary Club. He has had the opportunity to attend 3 International Conventions {Sao Paulo, Atlanta & Hamburg} and plans on volunteering for the Calgary Convention in 2025. He is a Paul Harris Fellow (+8) and along with Lynne they are Major Donor Level 2 contributors, and they have hosted 3 Exchange Students (Madeline – Belgium, Sophie – Hungary, and Enni – Finland) In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, the outdoors (golfing and time at the lake) and lots of travel.
