On our Rotary journey together this 2019-2020 year we will focus on the themes of Rotary Connects the World and People of Action. These two themes go beautifully hand in hand as we are all People of Action through the giving of our most precious resource, our time, to participate in Rotary. With that similar passion, we are connected with fellow like-minded individuals around the world.

Inclusiveness and appreciating individuality are so important to me. We are all unique individuals who bring such value to our clubs and who I am incredibly grateful for and excited to meet. We are also all brought together under the umbrella of Rotary International District 5370. We are one family unit in the larger family of Rotary International. I believe each club in our district has valuable resources, stories and experiences of their projects to share so we may strengthen and grow as a whole. I want to showcase that on our website this year and encourage you to reach out to myself and our team to share your work.

I challenge you to try something new this year that may change the way your club has “always done it” to gain perspective. As we look ahead into the future of Rotary we hope to continue to grow our membership. We look at not just membership growth overall but rather in the individuals who make up that membership and taking ideas from our new members and combining them with the knowledge of our seasoned members will blossom some really interesting and new opportunities that may improve the productivity or engagement in your club.

We are change-makers and my commitment to you is to provide you with inspiration, resources and support to grow and connect Rotary. In this way, I hope to spark the ignition of your souls as we work to make our world a better place.

I am so looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you and encourage you to continue to connect with your fellow Rotarians and your District Leadership team. I appreciate your commitment to strengthening yourself and Rotary. Together, we are people of action!

Yours in Rotary,

Tracey Vavrek
