The St. Albert Rotary Club is happy to facilitate the resurfacing of the St. Albert Pride Crosswalk. Originally, an Outloud St. Albert project, the Rotary Club stepped up to ensure that the support for the LGBTQ2S+ stays prominent in our community. Everyone is welcome to come down and take part in all the painting fun. May 21, is our back up date in case of rainout. This is a free event and no registration is required.

Come down and join us at Kingswood Park for an evening of relaxing, BBQ, Disc Golf and friends. We are working on bringing in an instructor to explain the game. Bring your choice of protein to throw on the BBQ. Bring your family, your friends, and your drink of choice; yes, Kingswood is one of the parks that allows alcohol. This could be a good opportunity to introduce a potential new Rotary Recruit to who we are and what we are when we play. |

Edmonton Sustainable Fashion Show
Jun. 12, 2026
Edmonton Sustainable Fashion Show is a community Non-Profit Fashion event that addresses UN SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production: Promotes sustainable resource use and waste reduction in the textile industry. SDG 13 – Climate Action: Encourages climate-conscious practices in fashion through circular innovation. A sustainable fashion showcase from local fashion designers showcasing their innovative and repurposed designs made from upcycled garments and reimagined textiles. The event brings together industry professionals and a networking opportunity, sustainability advocates, and creative talents to discuss, celebrate, and showcase innovative approaches to textile waste reduction and the advancement of a circular economy. It also has a circular pop-up market where organizations and individuals exhibit their sustainable products as a way of encouraging people to shop sustainably and re-enforcing the circular economy. |

Veterans' House Canada
Jun. 19, 2026
We greatly appreciate the opportunity to speak with the Rotary Club about Veterans' House Canada, including our mission, our accomplishments to date, our ongoing project here in Alberta, and our plans for the future. I would be accompanied by Mike Schneider, the VHC Edmonton Veteran Support Manager, who likes to make me be the main speaker but also keeps me honest and makes sure I haven't forgotten anything. We will be happy to provide Name/Title/Photo/Bio combination for both of us prior to May 29th.
We do not have a formal slide deck at this time, but we plan to work with our Communications Manager in Ottawa to pull together some of the short videos/testimonials that help tell our story and such. I will be sure to email it ahead of time, assuming it isn't too large a file, and will have a USB drive backup, just in case.
